General Vice Chair: Fritz Bekkadal
Fritz Bekkadal is currently employed as a Senior Scientist at MARINTEK- SINTEF, in addition to running his own company 'Gersemia – Bekkadal Consultancy & Engineering Services' as CEO. His more than 40 years of experience comprises engagements within academia, R&D institutes and industry, predominantly focusing ICT disciplines, with emphasis on radio and radar systems technologies and engineering. He is holding several international patents within the field of microwave-based sensor technologies for maritime surveillance applications, and has authored/co-authored more than 120 publications. He has been serving IEEE as a volunteer for more than 20 years in several positions within Norway Section and Region 8.

Technical Chair: Peter M Haugan
Peter Mosby Haugan (born 1958) is professor of oceanography at the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen. He headed this institute during 2003-2011. He has also held leading positions at the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center and Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research in Bergen. He started his professional career in the petroleum industry at Norsk Hydro in the 1980ies, and has spent two years at Spitsbergen, Svalbard. In addition to research on a wide range of issues ranging from polar oceanographic processes, air-ice-ocean interaction and carbon storage to marine renewable energy, he is active in international marine and polar research coordination and development of marine research infrastructure.

Technical Chair: Harald Yndestad
Dr.philos. Harald Yndestad is professor in simulation and visualization at Aalesund University College (AUC). He has about 40 years experience from research foundations and academic institutions. In this period he has been 10 years as rector, and 10 years as professor at ACU. Yndestad teach cybernetic and agent based modeling and ACU. He has authored about 25 peer reviewed papers related to computer systems, climate dynamics, marine ecosystem dynamic and agent based modeling.

Exchibition Chair: Trond Olsen
Trond Olsen has a varied background from positions in public and private business sector.
He is educated at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy, and holds a master degree in Management from the Norwegian School of Management (BI).
As of now, he is the General Manager of one of twelve Norwegian Centres of Expertise projects in Norway, NCE Subsea – the cluster facilitator for the subsea industry in Norway. In addition he is Chairman of the program Committee for the Underwater Technology Conference.

Student Poster Chair: Marta Molinas
Marta Molinas(M’94) received the Doctor of Engineering Degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2000. In 1998 she stayed at the University of Padova, Italy as a guest researcher. From 2004 to 2007 she was a Post Doctoral researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. Since 2008 she is Professor at NTNU. From 2008-2009 she has been a JSPS Research Fellow at the Energy Technology Research Institute of AIST in Tsukuba, Japan. Her research interest is in wind/wave energy conversion systems, and power electronics applications in power systems. She is Associate Editor of the IEEE Trans. of Power Electronics.
